Pasting a paper you already have

If the paper exists in Word, in an email, or in last year’s file, paste it in rather than retyping it. Press Paste a paper on the Questions step.

Write a * in front of the correct option, = in front of an accepted typed answer, and the marks in brackets:

1. Which planet is closest to the Sun?  [2]
*Mercury
Venus
Mars

2. What is the capital of France?  [2]
= Paris
= Paris, France

3. Explain why ice floats on water.  [5]

• A blank line ends a question.
• A question with nothing under it becomes a written answer.
• Numbering and bullets are stripped, so 1., Q1) and - are all fine.

You see exactly what will be added before anything is saved, with anything it could not read flagged.
